RI PRESIDENT'S REPRESENTATIVE

BRUCE GOLDSEN, ROTARY DISTRICT 6400, MICHIGAN

 

Bruce Goldsen is a 27-year Rotarian and Past District Governor in District 6400, an international district which includes Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario.. He is past president of the Adrian, Michigan Noon and Morning Rotary Clubs, which he and his wife Sue chartered in 1999.  He serves on RI’s International Youth Exchange Committee and will serve as Chair in 2017-2018.

 

Bruce’s current Rotary involvement also includes serving as:

            2015-2017 Co-Chair of the Zone Leadership Training Institute;

            2011- 2017 Chair of the Central States Rotary Youth Exchange Summer Conference

            In 2017-2018, he will serve as Chair, Rotary International Youth Exchange Committee

 

Throughout the years he has served as:

            Chair of the multi-district Great Lakes Rotary PETS;

            Chair of the 18-district Central States Rotary Youth Exchange summer conference;

            Co-Chair of the North American Youth Exchange Network; and numerous other Rotary

            Leadership roles. 

Bruce and Sue, the current 2016-17 District 6400 Governor, are Major Donors, Paul Harris Society and Bequest Society Members of the Rotary Foundation, and have worked on service projects in Ghana, India and El Salvador.

Bruce has been honored with the United Way of Michigan's "Spirit of Michigan Award" (2013), Lenawee County Chamber of Commerce “Maple Leaf Award,” (2002), the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce “Small Business Person of the Year Award,” (2003) and the Lenawee United Way and Volunteer Center’s “Stubnitz Award” for community service (1997). 

(In his spare time), Bruce is the president and co-owner, along with Sue, of five radio stations in Jackson, Michigan
